FAQ

If there is a new version of AVG for Microsoft Exchange server 5 (5.5) available, upgrade it using following procedure:

• download the latest instalaltion file of AVG for MS Exchange 5 (5.5) from web page Downloads-Programs
• go to the AVG for Exchange folder (by default C:\AVG4ES)
• run setupes.exe with the /uninstall parameter, i.e. setupes.exe /uninstall.
• after the installation process finishes, run the downloaded installation file to perform the installation process.

If there is a new version of AVG for Microsoft Exchange server 2000/2003 available, upgrade it using following procedure:

• download the latest instalaltion file of AVG for MS Exchange 2000/2003 from from web page Downloads-Programs
• run downloaded installation file
• finish the installation process

Note: reinstallation of AVG for Exchange 2000/2003 requires a restart of Microsoft Exchange Information Store service. The restart of Store service causes disconnecting of all clients connected to the Exchange server. We recommend to perform the reinstallation in suitable time, determined for server maintenance.

If there is a new version of AVG for Lotus Notes Domino server available, upgrade it using following procedure:

• download the latest AVG for Lotus Notes Domino server installation file from web page Downloads-Programs
• stop your Lotus Domino server
• run downloaded installation file to perfrom the reinstallation
• start the Lotus Domino server
  

If it is not possible to restart the Domino server, you can perform the reinstallation also during server's working:

• run AVG for Lotus Notes Domino server installation file and perform the reinstallation process
• stop AVG tasks on Lotus Domino server. Write following command on console:
  tell avgscan q
  tell avgmail q
• start AVG tasks back. Write:
  load avgscan
  load avgmail
