Cross upgrade is a license upgrade from your current product to another, advanced AVG 8.0 product at a reduced cost.

The cross-upgrade order can be placed on-line through the Upgrade Center, or by contacting the local reseller whom you purchased your original AVG product from, or by contacting AVG Authorized Parners or Distibutors.

Please note that the new license will expire at the same time as the original product.

Yes, you can cross-upgrade your current AVG Anti-Virus (both stand-alone and network) or AVG Anti-Virus plus Firewall to a more complete solution for a favorable price. 

AVG 8.0:

AVG Anti-Virus can be cross-upgraded to:

• AVG Anti-Virus plus Firewall
• AVG Internet Security

AVG Anti-Virus plus Firewall can be cross-upgraded to:

• AVG Internet Security

AVG Anti-Virus Network Edition can be cross-upgraded to:

• AVG Internet Security Network Edition 

AVG 7.5:

AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 can be cross-upgraded to:

• AVG Anti-Virus plus Firewall 8.0
• AVG Internet Security 8.0

AVG Anti-Malware 7.5 can be cross-upgraded to:

• AVG Internet Security 8.0

AVG Anti-Malware Network Edition 7.5 can be cross-upgraded to:

• AVG Internet Security Network Edition 8.0.

Note: Any AVG 7.5 edition can be upgraded to the corresponding AVG 8.0 edition free of charge on this page.

You can renew and cross-upgrade your product to another product in one step:

• For licenses with less than 200 users at the AVG Technologies on-line shop:
  Please go to the Renewal and Upgrade Center. There enter your AVG License Number into the License field, select Renew and Cross Upgrade to a more advanced AVG product and process your renewal and upgrade. Payment is possible by credit card (Visa, MasterCard/Eurocard, American Express, JCB and Diners Club are all accepted), British Solo/Switch debit card, PayPal, wire/bank transfer, check or cash. 
• For licenses with more than 200 users or any special enquiries, kindly contact your AVG Authorized Reseller. You may also complete the on-line form to contact our Customer Services Team and have your renewal and cross-upgrade processed off-line by AVG Technologies. 

Please note that it is not necessary to uninstall your current AVG product. 

To cross-upgrade your AVG product, simply:

• Download the latest AVG 8.0 installation file here (choose your edition and click on the link "Paid version").
• Run the downloaded file and choose the Add/remove components option.
• Then replace your currentAVG License Number with your newly purchased AVG License Number. 

We suggest copying your new AVG License Number from the e-mail received after your cross-upgrade was processed, and pasting it into the appropriate field during the installation. 

Note: The new product will expire at the same date as your original license.

If you purchased your Cross Upgrade through an Authorized AVG Distributor or Partner, you would have received a Cross Upgrade Key.

Please go to the website and enter:

• your Cross Upgrade Key
• your current AVG License Number
• your registered e-mail address

A new AVG License Number together with installation instructions will be sent to your registered e-mail address.
