If you are already using your AVG product, you can find and verify with your AVG License Number by going to the License component in AVG.

When you purchase an AVG product, you will be supplied with either AVG Sales Number or AVG License Number.
If you have been supplied with AVG License Number then you must install your product (using the AVG License Number) immediatelly. This will allow you to enjoy the full license period.

If you have been supplied with AVG Sales Number, there is no time limit on installing the product. Upon installation of your product using AVG Sales Number, a 30-day period begins during which the AVG Sales Number must be registered. Upon registration, the AVG License Number (with 1 or 2-year license period) will be sent to your registered email account. Then you will have to activate your AVG installation with the newly received AVG License Number. It can be easily done by following these steps: 

• Run AVG by clicking on the AVG icon on your desktop or in your system tray bar.
• From the Help drop-down menu select Reactivate.
• Enter your license number in the AVG License Number field and click on Activate.
• Please use the copy and paste method instead of typing the AVG License Number to avoid any possible mistakes.

In the event when you have both AVG Sales Number and AVG License Number, please use the AVG License Number.

Also remember to print out and save your AVG License Number for a future reference.

To use the "copy & paste" method please follow these steps: 

• Mark the AVG License Number (this field will change color).
• Press and hold CTRL and then press key "C" (this is the copy).
• Place the cursor on the position where you would like to paste the copied information.
• Press and hold CTRL and then press the key "V" (this is the paste).
• The information will be copied to the place you have placed the cursor.

Please first check:

• Whether you have downloaded and installed the correct edition of AVG software that you purchased.
• If you have the correct date/year set up in your system. System date can be checked this way:
    - Start -> Control Panel -> Date and Time
  Please select the correct date and click the OK button to confirm.

To install AVG please follow the steps below:

1. Please choose your AVG product from the list displayed and click on the Paid version link. 
2. On the next page, the installation file corresponding to your AVG product will be shown, save this file to your desktop. 
3. Then double-click the file on your desktop and follow the steps indicated in the setup program to begin installing your AVG. 
4. You will be prompted to enter your AVG License Number during the installation process. 
5. It is recommended to use the Copy&Paste method to insert the AVG License Number during the installation process:

• Highlight the license number (this will change the color).
• Press and hold CTRL and then press the C key (this is the copy function).
• Place your cursor where you would like to paste the copied information.
• Press and hold CTRL and then press the V key (this is the paste function).
• The information will be copied from the previous place to the place you have moved your cursor to.

If you are still experiencing problems, please contact our Customer Services Team and be sure to include your AVG License Number.

You can convert your 30 day AVG Trial version into the corresponding full version of AVG software by following these steps:

• Run AVG by clicking on the AVG icon on your desktop or in your system tray bar.
• From the Help drop-down menu select Reactivate.
• Enter your new purchased AVG License Number in the License Number field and click on Activate. 

To convert your AVG Trial version into a different full version of AVG software, kindly follow these steps:

• Download the latest installation file of your purchased AVG product from our website.
• Run the downloaded file and choose the Add/remove components option.
• Then replace your Trial License Number with the newly purchased AVG License Number. 

Please note: It is necessary to enter the AVG License Number correctly. We recommend that you use the copy and paste method instead of typing the AVG License Number to avoid any possible mistakes. 

Yes, you can re-install your AVG software any time within the standard license period.

If you need to reinstall AVG product again, please visit the download section of the AVG products website and get the latest installation pack.

You will be prompted to enter your AVG License Number during the installation process. It is necessary to enter it correctly. Please use the copy and paste method instead of typing the License Number to avoid any possible mistakes.
