Please note that the AVG Backup CD is available for commercial AVG products only.

The AVG Backup CD includes complete set of AVG programs with all its additional components such as all the documentation files, virus removal programs and utilities, third parties programs and applications, redistribution libraries and other useful data.

In addition, you can use this CD as a backup copy of your product, for example: If you were to lose the downloaded product for any reason, you could re-activate the full version of the product at any time using the CD and the license key.

Yes, you can purchase a Back-up CD together with your AVG software. A Back-up CD is useful for installation and back-up.
If you have already purchased an AVG product in electronic version only, you are still able to purchase a stand-alone CD. The link to the shopping cart for this purpose was included in the Delivery information email sent to you by AVG Technologies e-commerce provider Digital River (Element 5).

If you do not want to purchase the AVG Backup CD, you can easily remove it from your shopping cart.

Click on the bin icon on the backup CD line, update your cart and the AVG Backup CD will be removed from your order.

Your AVG Backup CD would have been produced and mailed within 24 hours after payment was received. Shipment by mail can take 5 to 10 business days within the EU and the USA, and 10 to 25 business days to other countries/regions.
If you did not receive your AVG Backup CD within the above mentioned delivery time, please note that the delay could be caused by an incorrect shipping address or another issue that can be easily addressed.

Please accept our apologies, if you have experienced any problems installing your AVG product using the AVG Backup CD.
To solve this problem as quickly as possible, we recommend that you contact Element5 (our e-commerce partner) directly.

The Extended Download is something like a virtual installation CD, i.e. you have a backup of installation files available there if you need re-install your computer instead of putting a physical CD in your driver.

If you purchase the Extended Download service, you can download the electronic product version for up to 12 or 24 month(s) after receipt of your payment (according to the purchased version) by going to My account in the Customer Care Center on Digital River GmbH (element 5) web page.

However we would like to inform you that you can download the AVG installation file from our website at any time within the standard license period. 

NOTE: This service is not an extension of your original product and cannot extend the validity.
