Recommended System Requirements for AVG 8.0:

• Intel Pentium 300 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 30 MB free hard drive space (for the installation) 

AVG Anti-Virus SBS Edition, AVG File Server Edition and AVG Email Server Edition

• Intel Pentium 600 MHz, 256 MB RAM available, 70 MB free hard drive space (for the installation)

AVG Internet Security, AVG Internet Security Network Edition and AVG Internet Security SBS Edition:

• Intel Pentium 1,2 GHz, 256 MB RAM, 70 MB free hard drive space (for the installation)

Note that AVG 8.0 is not compatible with the following operating systems:

• MS Windows 98 / ME / NT / NT Server 4.0

these platforms will be supported by AVG 7.5 only till the end of the year 2008 but AVG Technologies reserves the right to discontinue the support provided that AVG Technologies informs thereof 15 days prior to the effective date on its website.

AVG software is not compatible with Macintosh operating systems at the moment. Please refer to the compatibility chart.

Yes, AVG products are fully compatible with Windows 64-bit version operating systems.

Generally, not only by our company, the use of more than one security solution under the same operating system is not recommended because of possible conflict in their main parts.
Usually the resident shield functionality of the products may conflict with each other, resulting in unpredictable behavior in your computer and impairing response to a potential virus threat.

Be sure to uninstall or disable all other antivirus or firewall programs on your computer prior to using a new antivirus/firewall program.

Yes we do. If you are interested in protection against all Internet threats for your computer(s) or network environment, we recommend that you select AVG Internet Security or AVG Internet Security Network Edition. 

Both of these editions include antivirus, firewall, anti-spyware, anti-rootkit, anti-spam protection, HTTP scanning, AVG Active Surf-Shield, and AVG Search-Shield and System Tools (for advanced operating system monitoring and management). 

In addition, with the AVG Internet Security Network Edition you will obtain two versions of Remote Administration tool (AVG Admin and Admin Lite) and protection for your network including your file server(s). 

Yes, you can purchase a Back-up CD together with your AVG software. A Back-up CD is useful for installation and back-up.
If you have already purchased an AVG product in electronic version only, you are still able to purchase a stand-alone CD. The link to the shopping cart for this purpose was included in the Delivery information email sent to you by AVG Technologies e-commerce provider Digital River (Element 5).

All AVG Editions are available with no obligation for a trial period of 30 days.

During the evaluation period, you will be able to test the product's full functionality, including all of the features and capabilities of AVG software. In addition, you will have access to the AVG Technical Support team for the duration of your Trial license (when requesting technical support, be sure to always include your AVG License Number in the body of your message).

Please note that the AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition has the following limitations:

• AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition has no technical support.
• AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition does not include a firewall, anti-spam and anti-rootkit feature.
• AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition does not include HTTP Scanner, AVG Active Surf Shield, and Instant Messaging Protection.
• AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition cannot be installed on server operating systems (such as Windows Server 2003).
• According to AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition License Policy, it is prohibited to install and use AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition in a commercial or network environment.
• AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition does not have guaranteed access to high-speed servers for downloading updates and program upgrades.  
• AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition does not offer advanced testing options, such as password-protected archives reporting, adjustment of scan process priority and many others. 
• AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition is available in English, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Japanese language only.
