How to use the Copy & Paste method to enter the licence number:
- Open the e-mail containing your licence number
- Mark the License Number (this field will change color) by clicking in front of the first character hold and drag to the end of this number, then free the button
- Press and hold CTRL and then press key "C" (this is the copy)
- Open the installation form and place the cursor on the position where you would like to paste the copied information
- Press and hold CTRL and then press the key "V" (this is the paste)
- The information will be copied to the place you have placed the cursor
Please let us inform you that even the best security software cannot protect your computer from the infection in case the harmful code is abusing some bug of installed operating system.
The updating of operating system is enabled and set as automatic by default very often. It means that operating system is looking for new updates periodically. In case a new update is available, it is downloaded and installed by operating system automatically. You may change this settings according to your individual needs.
Windows XP SP2:
Right click "My Computer" on the desktop (or in "Start" menu -> "My Computer") -> select "Properties" -> switch to "Automatic Updates" tab
Windows Vista:
Right click "Computer" on the desktop (or in "Start" menu -> "Computer") -> select "Properties" -> click on "Windows Update" link -> click on "Change settings" link
There are following options available:
- Automatic.
- Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them.
- Notify me but don't automatically download or install them.
- Turn off Automatic Updates.
It is not recommended to deactivate the updates completely.

Windows Vista can ask you whether you wish to allow various AVG-related actions such as installation, update, firewall configuration, etc. It is necessary to confirm these actions to ensure full AVG functionality. These UAC queries are usually connected to direct access to AVG configuration and program files, and are completely safe.
1. Open the folder options in Windows:
